Whitetop Summit

At 5,518 ft, Whitetop is the second-highest peak in Virginia. The summit offers panoramic views of the surrounding highlands.

Trail Access

Multiple trailheads within minutes of the hostel including Elk Garden, Massey Gap, and direct AT access on Highway 58.

Grayson Highlands

Home to Virginia's famous wild ponies. The park connects to the AT via Massey Gap and offers some of the best views on the East Coast.
